Website rental is an affordable way for small businesses in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal and the rest of South Africa to get a professional website online. Instead of paying for your website once-off, you rent it from us for a fixed monthly fee.

Website Rental packages run for a minimum term of 6 months. Pay monthly in advance (month-to-month billing), or pay the full 6 months upfront.
30 days’ written notice is required to cancel a Website Rental. Any cancellation before the end of the 6-month minimum term is subject to a R2,500.00 early termination fee.
Each package includes a web hosting package: Lite Hosting (Starter), Basic Hosting (Growth) or Power Hosting (Premium).
Domain renewal is excluded. Domain renewals are invoiced annually at our current domain pricing.
Clients provide all content, images and information for their website. We do not create content, and copyrighted content will not be used on any website we design.
All code remains the property of Squirrel Media until ownership is handed over to the client. Want to own your website? Ask us for a buy-out evaluation.

Website rental means we design and build a professional website for your business, and you pay a monthly rental fee to use it instead of paying for the whole website up front. Squirrel Media keeps ownership of the website and its code while you rent it.
What is included in each website rental package?
The Starter Package (R399 per month) is a 1 page website with up to 4 sections and CTA buttons, without a contact form, and includes our Lite Hosting package. The Growth Package (R499 per month) is a website of up to 3 pages with up to 4 sections, a contact form and CTA buttons, and includes our Basic Hosting package. The Premium Package (R699 per month) is a website of up to 8 pages with up to 5 sections per page, a contact form and CTA buttons, and includes our Power Hosting package. Every package is an HTML5 / CSS website. Domain renewal is not included.
Is hosting included in the rental?
Yes. Every package includes one of our web hosting packages: Lite Hosting with the Starter Package, Basic Hosting with the Growth Package and Power Hosting with the Premium Package. Domain renewal is not included and is billed separately.
Is there a minimum contract period?
Yes. Every website rental has a minimum term of 6 months. You can pay month to month, or pay the full 6 months upfront. After 6 months your rental carries on monthly until you cancel.
How do I cancel my website rental?

Do I own my rented website?
No. All code remains the property of Squirrel Media until ownership is handed over to you. The content you supply, such as your text, images and logo, stays yours.
Can I buy my website?
Yes. We offer a buy-out if you would like to purchase your website outright. The buy-out price is worked out per website, so contact us for an evaluation price.
What happens to my emails if I cancel?
If you cancel your rental, you can move your emails to another provider. Your website will not be released to you unless you have purchased it from us.
Can I make changes to my website?
Yes. Any changes you would like are at your account, and we will quote you according to the scope of the changes. Updates are also available if you host with another provider, charged at our normal web development rates (website updates are R650 per hour, see our IT support pricelist).
Do you write the content for my website?
No. We do not create content. You provide all the content, images and information you want displayed on your website. Copyrighted content will not be used or displayed on any website designed by Squirrel Media.
